Council adopted MOSPLAN 2010-2020 at its meeting on 1 June 2010. The new MOSPLAN will be available shortly. Council thanks all who made submissions during the consultation period. Your participation is appreciated and all contributions were considered during the review period.

From 14 April, the draft 10 Year Community Strategic Plan incorporating Councillors’ Visions towards 2050 is being made available in draft form for public comment.

Early consultation regarding the Councillors’ 2050 Visions indicated a positive response from the people of Mosman. There were many comments received that more closely addressed the operational day to day business of Mosman and these comments are being addressed separately and individually. The Councillors’ 2050 Visions have been incorporated throughout the plan and are flagged by a Vision 2050 tag.

We invite you to comment on the plans.

All comments will be put before the Council and will be considered for discussion or inclusion into MOSPLAN before it is adopted for another year.

The closing date for comments is 14 May 2010.

Last week during the Street Speak consultations, council managers and Councillors were encouraging Mosman residents to consider and provide comment on the Councillors’ 2050 Visions.

About 700 people took cards with the website details and many used them to communicate their written comments to us. On Monday 22 March over 20 cards arrived by mail and many people had left a comment captured at the street speak or via the website. We look forward to and expect more feedback. Traffic and transport seem to dominate the comments although many people have been expressing their views regarding urban development.

All the feedback, written, captured at the street consultation and on line will be sorted and provided to the Councillors for consideration before the 13 April Council meeting. The formal consultation will begin from that date and Council will be welcoming feedback regarding the Corporate Strategic Plan until 21 May.
