According to the Council Records "CommunityConversations / Consultations" there were 129 Residents who attended the 8 Community Engagement Strategy meetings from 09 Feb 2009 to 12 Feb 2009.

20 Council Staff acted as scribes at those meetings.

When is the feedback from those Community Consultations like to appear on the Council website ?

Please publish your response on the Mosman Council web-site as the "Kids Safe-at-Sport" website has been illegally closed down by the overseas Internet Service Provider [ISP].

This highlights our concerns that the Shorelink InterLibrary Network is being "outsourced" to an overseas "Managed Services Provider" without going to tender

I dont get it? Re On-line involvement you say "Make more use of on-line spaces – such as blogs and forums - where two-way communication between Council and the community is encouraged and nurtured."

Yet in the same document you also say :-"Please note that comments are moderated and will not appear instantly. They will be processed as quickly as possible" So are we the ratepayers able to see all comments for and against an issue ?

If not that is to my mind not the spirit of a blog ?? (agreed you have to eliminate the wacko comments, but who decides who is or who is not a wacko?)

No APIs as yet - although we endeavour to make all website content available for reuse via web feeds. APIs to be considered when building applications in the future.

Thank you for your interest. We will be pleased to keep the Department of Local Government informed and will send you a copy of the final document following consultation and Council adoption.

Hi, have you already built API's for any of your applications? Or is this something you are planning to do in the future?

I think the online elements of this communication strategy are well thought out an where many councils should be heading with opening up data, and bringing information to the community in spaces such as social networking sites.

I'm really interested to see how this progresses, could be a great case study for the rest of NSW.
